GTA 6 price and editions: Standard or Ultimate, digital or boxed?

Rockstar has set the price: $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Here is what each one contains, the bonuses you get by buying before launch, and the right choice for you.

The two editions

Edition	Official price (US)	What you get
Standard	$79.99	The full game
Ultimate	$99.99	The full game + an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, outfits and extra content across Jason and Lucia's story

Rockstar's announcement only gives US dollar prices. In euros or pounds, each store sets its own price: compare the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store and retailers before you buy. Our Amazon links below show the live price in your country.

Bonuses for buying before launch

Vintage Vice City Pack: included with every pre-order and every purchase made before November 20, 2026.
One free month of GTA+: for digital pre-orders on PlayStation and Xbox, redeemable right away.

Digital or boxed?

Digital: pre-load from November 10, the game unlocks the moment it is released, plus the free GTA+ month.
Boxed: in stores from November 12. The box holds a download code, not a disc, so you still download the whole game. A good option for a gift.
Either way, plan up to 212 GB of free space.

Which one should you choose?

Standard is enough to play the whole story: the Ultimate extras are bonus items, not extra chapters. Pick the Ultimate only if you love collecting vehicles and outfits. Not sure? Start with the Standard; an Ultimate upgrade has been reported on the Xbox Store, but Rockstar has not detailed it yet.
